Description: School assignment to create a magazine ad for any company. I chose to focus on IKEA and to create a two-page spread. In my mind, this ad would run in Good Housekeeping or Family Handyman since the target audience I see this appealing to is parents who are homeowners.

Thought Process: IKEA’s print ads are traditionally simple and clean, using ample white space and real imagery. This look was maintained and paired with a slightly altered, well-known movie quote. The quote relates the concept of the company’s furniture needing to be built by the customer, with the idea that if completed, children will surely show up to play and enjoy the fruits of the builder’s labor.
